Randall Lee Woods was born December 15, 1951, in Sacramento, California, to Jody and Bonnie Mae Fender Woods. He entered eternal life on March 1, 2001.
Randy met Diana Hope Collinson in November of 1992, and, on May 7, 1999, they sealed their love through marriage in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. They were not only husband and wife, but best friends. He was the most loving, caring man Diana ever met, and he always put her feelings above all else. He was Diana's rock. Randy always made certain that everyone knew how deeply he loved Diana. His generosity and compassion for others knew no bounds.
Randy and Diana both worked at Sentinel Lighting, so they were able to enjoy each other's company throughout the day. Randy had many cherished friends at work. They would jokingly refer to their smoke breaks as "meeting at the pawn shop".
Randy loved to golf, he loved football, he loved to play with Pepper, the family cat and he loved his friends. He always loved to make people smile, and would always put a smile on their faces when he encountered them.
Left to cherish his memory and to celebrate his presence in their lives is his devoted wife, Diana, of LaVerne, CA; his mother, Bonnie Woods, of Sacramento, CA; his son, Brian Woods, of Sacramento, CA; his daughter, Leanne Woods, of Silverado, CA; his brother, Jody Woods of Sacramento, CA; his nieces, Kara Zamarripa, of Sacramento, CA and Kelly Bradley, of LaFayette, CA; and a host of friends whose lives he touched. A viewing service will be held at Gardenside Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 6, from 12 noon until 4 pm. (a map and driving directions can be found on the "Contact Us" page). He will then be taken to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho for services. Following the service in Idaho, he will be cremated and loving placed in Forest Cemetery, Coeur D'Alene, Idaho.
You will be in our hearts forever, Randy.
Mike Browning at mikebemhere@aol.com has added: I once met a man who's name was RANDY. Who then became a very good friend of mine. And as well as his wife DIANA. With this friendship became many years of good times. He showed me many things, how to become the person I am. Football was a good time for us. "RANDY" you know you still owe me. Not only was football a good time for us, so was fishing, golfing, racing the car around the house - "what a good time". RANDY and DIANA, we love you. MIKE and MARY and the kids from Idaho. You are the greatest friends we ever had.
Carla Conte at carla.conte@wiremold.com has added: Randy, I did notknow you well but I remember how much you helped me when I came up to Idaho to learn how our wiring products were put together. Later, when you relocated to California, I met Diana, your other half, and we became friends. It was always RandyandDiana; two halves of a whole. You two were always a pair, a loving team, together. It's so hard to imagine Diana without you by her side. I know you will always be there with her in her heart until you are reunited in Heaven. You will always be remembered in our hearts. God bless you and Diana, until we see you again.
Judy at Heyjude408@aol.com adds: Randy Woods was a very caring man. I sit here and think of all the fun times we had together at work, darts, golfing, watching football and going to the races. All happy times. Randy truly loved Diana very much. His death affected so many people as we all knew Randy and Diana. We were close just like a family. He will truly be missed, but in my heart he will always be here with us. Judy and Doug.
